Christel House SA would love it if the Cape Town blogging community got behind this most worthy cause and supported us at the first
“Tweet-Up-For-A-Cause”
The event is happening on Saturday,
the 31st of Jan
Time: 10am—12
Directions: From Lansdowne Wetton circle, right into old Stranfontein road & right again into Swallocliffe drive Ottery.
The plan of action: is to plant trees in an island in the driveway of the school as well as along the fence. Everyone who participates will get their name on the tree that they help plant!
Its an amazing initiative as the school does so much for the children. We would absolutely love it if you would join us for this truly special event! Look forward to seeing you there!

This is just a short video which shows the abject poverty of Joe Slovo, Cape Town, South Africa - from where over 50% of Christel House SA’s students come from.

For Ashwin Schaffold (16) and Nontando Bongi (17), Grade 11 learners at Christel House School in Cape Town, next year holds special promise. Not only will they be among the first Grade 12 class to graduate from the young school that caters exclusively for disadvantaged children in Cape Town, but they will also be the first to enjoy its spectacular new location.
Since its foundation in 2002, Christel House has operated from cramped premises in Athlone, but now it is spreading its wings and moving to a brand new site – currently under construction in Swallowcliffe, Ottery.

We have started this blog to show you the work that we are doing and are continuing to do at the Christel House School in Cape Town, South Africa.
You can watch this short video ‘Letting The Future In’ which shows the poverty and adversity these children face in their everyday lives in contrast with the sense of security that they feel, knowing that they will receive an outstanding first class education, for free and the impact that this has had on them and their dreams for the future, as well as those of their parents.
